Why the window is the whole argument

A reflex sight is a window you shoot through. Make it small and you hunt for the dot on every transition; make it big and badly, and the glass distorts at the edges where you need it most. The Skyraider's window is trimmed to the shape of a human field of view rather than to a rectangle, which is why the dot presents faster coming out of a transition.

The rest follows from the housing. One piece of 7075-T6 aluminium, not two halves bonded together, is what lets a 1.5 ounce optic take 12 gauge 00 buckshot recoil and hold zero at 5,000 G.

  • ✓30 x 23 mm window on the Skyraider, 24 x 17 mm on the RMSc-footprint Skywarrior
  • ✓Six reticle options: 2 MOA dot, 6 MOA circle, 60 MOA circle and the combinations
  • ✓12 brightness settings, two of them optimised for night vision
  • ✓30,000 hours on one top-mounted CR1632, with motion-activated wake and auto-sleep
  • ✓1 MOA clicks, +/-50 MOA of travel, adjustable with a 9 mm casing
  • ✓IP67 sealed, 1 metre drop rated, HD glass under 20+ layers of coating
  • ✓RMR footprint and MOS kit included, so it fits the mounts you already own

03 — The glass

If a red dot has always looked like a smear

Astigmatism turns a small bright dot into a starburst, which is why a lot of shooters give up on reflex sights and go back to irons. A larger, dimmer reference solves it: the 6 MOA circle carries the brightness without the flare, so you can hold a target focus instead of having your eye pulled into the dot.

One of our reviewers put it better than we can. He has astigmatism in both eyes, and the circle is what lets him bring the brightness up in daylight with little to no distortion.

Every reticle below is a configuration you can order today, at the same price. Choose it in the shop before you add the sight to your bag.

04 — Fitment

Will it fit what you already own?

The Skyraider shares RMR mounting screws and fits every OEM RMR mounting kit, and the MOS kit is in the box — so it goes where your last optic went. The Skywarrior is RMSc and shares screws with a Holosun 407K/507K.

Skyraider Gen 2Verified purchase

Impressed with the Skyraider Gen 2

“At first I was a bit skeptical with this optic. Big window, multi reticle, etc. I've seen this done before...or so I thought! The window on this optic is shaped in a way that presents the dot faster on transitions and the multi reticle option proves to be more useful than I thought it would be. The 6moa Circle allows me to bring the brightness up in the daylight with little to no distortion. This is a big gain for me as I suffer from astigmatism in both eyes.”
