What we do

Everything a small-town jeweler should do, done properly.

Quoted at the counter, finished at the bench in back, and checked before it leaves. Book any of these in under a minute.

Repairs & Restoration

Repairs & Restoration

Ring sizing, soldering, refinishing, rhodium plating, prong retipping, stone tightening and replacement, pearl restringing — up to full antique restorations.

Custom Design

Custom Design

Work directly with Paul from sketch to hand-carved wax cast or CAD image. You approve every step before anything is made — and your own gold and stones are welcome.

Heirloom Redesign

Heirloom Redesign

Grandma's diamonds don't belong in a drawer. Stones and gold from the pieces you inherited, reset into something you'll actually wear — the story stays, the setting changes.

Gold Buying

We buy gold and do our own refining — no middleman taking a cut between your pieces and the payout. Verbal appraisals are always free, and the scale is on the counter.

Appraisals

Insurance appraisals at $75 for the first piece and $50 after, GIA-trained diamond grading on the 4Cs. Not sure it needs the paperwork? A verbal appraisal costs nothing.

Watch Service

Batteries, band sizing, crystal replacement, stem and crown repair, pressure testing, full overhauls — from everyday watches to the one your father left you.

Custom, the Randazzo way

From the story to the stone.

1

Sit down with Paul

Bring the idea, the Pinterest board, or the drawer of inherited pieces. The first conversation is free and unhurried.

2

See it before it exists

A hand-carved wax cast or CAD image, approved by you before anything is made. No surprises at the reveal.

3

Your gold, your stones

Sentimental metal and diamonds can live in the new piece — and what you already own comes off the final cost.

4

The reveal

Finished at the bench in back, checked stone by stone, and handed over the counter — usually to somebody trying not to cry.

Engagements & heirlooms

The drawer is not where diamonds retire.

A customer had Paul fold her mother's and grandmother's diamonds into her own wedding set. Another turned her grandmother's emeralds into earrings she wore down the aisle. A third had a 70-year-old ring rebuilt to wear every day.

That's the work this counter is known for: engagement rings designed from scratch, and inherited pieces given a second life without losing the first one.

Cannot recommend randazzo jewelers enough. Paul was so understanding and compassionate when I got my wedding stuck on my finger and he had to cut it off. Then when I came back he helped us find a beautiful ring and explained the history behind the piece. Truly a fantastic place with the best people.

I absolutely love my new ring that Paul designed. I had him combine my wedding ring with my mother and grandmother's diamonds into one beautiful set. I did not like the idea of storing them in a drawer.

Purchased my wife's engagement ring and our wedding rings from Randazzo's. My wife also had some emeralds from her grandmother made into ear rings for our wedding day and everything was flawless. Paul is very easy to work with, the quality of work is amazing. I would highly recommend Randazzo for anybody looking for any sort of jewelry.

They did a beautiful job repairing my silver sugar bowl. I went back again to have my Grandma's wedding ring sized to fit my pinkie. Looking forward to being able to wear it and not have it fly off my finger.

Nice family owned business! They were not pushy and very patient as I picked out what I wanted. With minimal details to describe what I was looking for, they were able to point me in the right direction. Super happy with the final look and feel. Will definitely go back for all my jewelry needs.

They have the most beautiful jewelry. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The owners go over and beyond to satisfy their customers. The repair work they did for me, makes my ring look better than the day I bought it from another jeweler 10 years ago.

I recently stopped in to have my wedding ring repaired. The kind folks at Randazzo Jewelry took excellent care of me. They were able to repair my ring right away and I also found a beautiful set of earrings for my Granddaughter. What a nice store this is! Excellent customer service and jewelry.

The family

A geology kid, a co-op job, and a store on Main Street.

Paul Randazzo got into jewelry the honest way: a lifelong love of rocks, minerals and fossils, and a high-school co-op job at a jewelry store his parents drove him to. That was 1999, and he never left the bench.

He married Melissa in 2008 — she runs the office and everything online — and when it came time to open their own store, the town was never in question. Almont is where they shop, where their six kids go to school, and where the counter gets staffed by family.

A referral from a customer is the biggest compliment.
