Every hunt is free range on managed private farms — and every hunt includes your bunk at camp, supper cooked at the lodge each night, and a packed lunch for the stand the next day.

Nov – DecFirearm Whitetail
Illinois' famous gun seasons, on ground with the genetics to back them up. Rut-worn funnels, ag fields, and big river-bottom bucks on their feet.
Dec – JanLate Season
Cold fronts, cut corn and hungry deer. The late season herds up around food — and the stands are already where they'll be.
SpringSpring Turkey
Thundering gobblers in the same hills and bottoms. Hunters have taken their biggest toms ever with us — lodging included, same as deer camp.

The camp
A real deer camp, not a motel room
Camp is family — Britt and the guides talk stands around the fireplace every night, Amy cooks supper for the whole crew, Haley packs your lunch for the stand, and mom's famous cookies make the rounds. Hunters show up strangers and leave with a group text.
Bunks are clean, cozy and comfortable, the showers are hot, and there's a separate ready-room so 5 a.m. doesn't wake the whole camp. The new 2–3 man cabin is nearly finished for this season, right down to the slate walk and hand-built handrails.
The ground
Ground that grows giants
The territory is predominantly white-oak timber with thumb-size acorns — and wild persimmons sagging the limbs, likely near whatever stand you're hunting. Hardwood high ridges, benches and pinch points sit right above big creek channels and the Ohio River, with lush agriculture everywhere in between.
The farms keep growing: new ground added this summer includes a famous buck-traveling creek, overgrown fence rows and funnels through acres of beans, handpicked secluded food plots, and sanctuary islands you can only reach by boat. Cameras are hung, stands are worked, and it's all ready when you get here.
This will be the equivalent to you or your team advancing and playing in Madison Square Garden.

What a farm we've added to Shawnee Hills Outfitters! This will be the equivalent to you or your team advancing and playing in Madison Square Garden. Hardwood high ridges, benches and pinch points right above big creek channels and the Ohio River. A few handpicked secluded food plots and another sanctuary island with boat-in access only. A few initial cameras were hung this morning with many more to go, but she'll be ready to go when you get here. See you all soon!

Shawnee Hills Outfitters has just added ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL FARM with a very famous buck-traveling creek that runs through the property. Classic hardwood pinch points, overgrown fence rows, and funnels throughout acres of agriculture. Genetics, riverbottoms, creeks, hardwoods, thickets, and agriculture = more SHO big bucks! Went out to one of the new farms today to continue getting acquainted. River and slough travel corridors, hardwood hills including what looks to be a great acorn crop, and beans did not disappoint. Man it is lush out there!

Our territory is known for predominantly white oak timber with thumb-size acorns, but never underestimate the big bucks' desire for our wild persimmons. These sweet fruits are going to be sagging the limbs again this season, and it's very likely at least one tree is near you no matter what stand you're hunting.

5 inches of rain last night at Shawnee Hills Outfitters. Everything was already lush throughout June and July, with crop production expected to be at an all-time record level. Perfect conditions for long and heavy tines!

The little 2-3 man cabin is ohhhh so close. Electric-pole retaining wall, natural rock dug outta the hills for the steps, big slabs of slate for the walk, and the interior wrapping up just in time for season.
