The country
Skull Lodge sits deep in the vastness of northern Saskatchewan's Porcupine Provincial Forest, on the banks of the Jackfish River, where “Camp” has been in operation since 1969. This is boreal wilderness the way it is meant to be hunted — big, quiet, and full of game.
Boasting one of the largest hunting leases in the region, Skull Lodge works both the deep forest and the neighbouring farmland to put you where the animals are. Dozens of feed sites are maintained across the bush and the field edges, setting up stalk hunts, ground blinds, elevated stands, and classic ambush sits.

The hunts
Every hunt is a fully guided, six-day Monday-to-Saturday hunt — open to archery, muzzleloader, and rifle hunters — with lodging and home-cooked meals at camp.
Whitetail · Nov 1 – Dec 7Hunting the farmland adjacent to the forest during the rut is pulse-pounding and challenging — and for the skilled sportsman it has historically produced record book bucks year after year. Stalk, sit a blind, or climb into an elevated stand over a feed site.
Black Bear · May 1 – Jun 15One of Canada's largest predators and hands-down one of the most exciting hunts in Saskatchewan. Expect everything from stunning colour-phase bears — brown, cinnamon, and blonde — to goliaths standing over seven feet and topping 800 pounds.
Rates are per hunter and include licensing and taxes. A 50% deposit holds your booking (balance due June 1 for deer, February 1 for bear). Group bookings and rates may be available — just ask.

The Skull Lodge experience focuses on memories and legends. Many of the largest and most formidable black bears and whitetails our clients have ever laid eyes on were taken right here — which is exactly why so many of them have kept coming back for decades.
Camp is home base: hearty meals, warm bunks, and guides who have hunted this country their whole lives. Founded by a local legend whose family heritage spans over a century in this region, Skull Lodge welcomes big game hunters from across North America and abroad.
How it works
Whitetail runs November 1 to December 7; black bear runs May 1 to June 15. Exact dates shift year to year with the weather and the provincial seasons, so reach out early — the best weeks go first.
A 50% deposit holds your booking. For deer the balance is due June 1; for bear it's due February 1. Rates are per hunter and include your Saskatchewan licensing and taxes.
Fly into Saskatoon, Regina, or Winnipeg and we'll point you the rest of the way to Norquay. Six days, Monday to Saturday, guided the whole way, with meals and lodging at camp.

Getting here
Base camp sits on the Jackfish River near Norquay, in Saskatchewan's Porcupine Provincial Forest — roughly halfway between Saskatoon and Winnipeg. Most hunters fly into Saskatoon, Regina, or Winnipeg and drive in.
