Meet Katy
The artist behind the swirling skies
Fine artist in Walters, Oklahoma — acrylic landscapes, meditative ink, and commissions with heart.

Katy Kinder is a fine artist from Walters, Oklahoma, and her paintings look like the place feels: big skies that swirl like Van Gogh's, lavender and wildflower fields, hay bales glowing under a full moon. She works mostly in acrylic on canvas, signs every piece, and offers prints of the collection's favorites.
Her range runs deeper than the landscapes. There are graphite portraits — dogs, horses, cowboys — watercolor studies, and the Flow series of meditative pen-and-ink pattern pieces she draws to slow down. That's the trick to commissioning Katy: whatever the memory is, there's a medium in her toolkit that fits it.
Art by Katy Kinder is a small-town studio in the best sense. Originals hang around southwest Oklahoma, prints ship nationwide, and every commission starts the same way — with a message, a photo, and a story about why this one matters.
