Asked & answered.
Do you sell to the general public?
Yes. Orders may be placed through the website, in person at the Novi facility, at a local gun show or event, or over the phone.
What calibers do you manufacture?
9mm, .40 S&W, .45 ACP, 10mm Auto, .223 Remington, 5.56x45mm NATO, and .300 Blackout — all loaded in Novi, Michigan.
Can I walk in and pick up my order locally?
Yes — place the order through the website first so the manufacturing schedule stays honest, and you'll get an email the moment it's ready for pickup at 42920 W 10 Mile Rd #18.
Why don't you make .22LR, .38 Special, or shotgun shells?
The primary markets are competitive shooting and firearms training, so Fenix runs a deliberately narrow caliber range. Fewer calibers means more varieties within each, fewer tooling changes, and being the best at what they actually make.
Will your .223 ammo work in my 5.56 / .223 Wylde rifle?
Yes. The external dimensions of .223 Remington and 5.56x45mm NATO cases are identical — Fenix loads to SAAMI .223 Remington specification, which is safe in .223 Remington, .223 Wylde, and 5.56 NATO chambers. Accuracy may vary slightly by chamber; the safety margin does not.
Are your components made in the USA?
All of them — brass, primers, and powder included. No overseas primers or powder, which is a common corner other manufacturers cut to hit a price point.
Do you make subsonic ammunition?
Yes — dedicated subsonic .300 Blackout loads (190gr and 220gr), plus pistol calibers that are naturally subsonic at standard specification.
Do you still offer brass credit?
The Brass Credit Program was discontinued in June 2023, and brass is no longer accepted for credit. Existing credits expired at the end of 2023.
