In 2017, Jamie established Capocore Professional Advisors, recognizing the need for a transformative approach in the industry. The CPA industry's traditional service model prompted him to pursue a distinct vision for the firm. Capocore was built on five pillars: leadership, tailored services, peace of mind, fee transparency, and proactiveness. Those principles guide the firm's commitment to being its clients' most reliable advisor.
In 2021, Capocore merged with Nock Accounting, another small firm owned by Regina Nock, CPA. Regina and Jamie shared the same vision, and the merger was a natural fit. Bringing the firms together enhanced the client service experience and allowed Capocore to become a comprehensive advisory firm serving a diverse range of businesses and taxpayers.
We understand that each client's circumstances are unique, so we tailor our approach to each engagement with a customized strategy. Through our initial advisory process the firm gains a comprehensive understanding of a client's needs, aspirations and challenges. That upfront work is what lets us help clients optimize tax efficiency, reach their goals and get around the obstacles — identifying opportunities, mitigating risks, and building solutions that align with their interests. The strategies are then carried through the year by our tax and accounting services.
What differentiates Capocore is how we service clients. Most firms provide basic tax and accounting at an hourly rate. Our philosophy is to provide better value by creating a tailored set of services in a single fee package. There are no surprises — our clients know exactly what to expect.

Our team is comprised of passionate industry professionals dedicated to serving our clients and uplifting our community.
PrincipalMerged her own practice, Nock Accounting & Tax, into Capocore in January 2021 and now runs client accounting services alongside tax engagements and business advisory. Over 20 years across the public and private sectors, from staff accountant to controller. QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor, Michigan public notary, and a 2021 MICPA 4 Under 40 honoree. Outside tax season: genealogy, gardening, cooking and her motorcycle.
Client CoordinatorWith the firm since 2018 and the person most clients deal with first. A business degree plus years as a hairstylist, salon educator and manager — firsthand experience of the financial pressures a small business runs into, which is exactly why she is good at talking clients through them. At home with her two daughters, her husband and a considerable number of pets.
Office ManagerOn the team since 2021. A background in higher education administration and a degree in technological sciences focused on data management, put to work keeping the firm's administrative operations tight. Lives in Caseville with her husband, seven children and two dogs, where the off-hours go to camping and kayaking.
BookkeeperA Rochester native who joined in March 2023 after more than 20 years in the automotive industry. She brings small-business management and service advising into the bookkeeping and administrative side of the practice. Away from the desk she bakes, gardens and explores Michigan with her husband.
Bookkeeper & MarketingThe firm's marketing graphic designer, with a bachelor's degree in digital media and years of customer service behind her, now training into a junior bookkeeping role as well. Outside the office she is camping, at a live show, or with her pets.
