Welcome to Metro!
We're so glad you want
to learn more about us.
Here you'll find our location, our schedule and the nature of our worship, and you can meet our minister, elders and deacons. Hopefully this will make you feel more comfortable as you plan a visit.

Our worship
Christ-centered and simple, but personal, dynamic, and uplifting.
At Metro our goal is to incorporate into our community the identity, practices, and teachings of the church as it appears in the pages of the New Testament. We also try to avoid man-made traditions, as our desire is to worship in a way that allows no barriers between our members and our Lord as we come together at the foot of the cross.
If you have the time, please explore our ministries as well. We pray that in doing so, you'll see how the church at Metro is serving God by reaching out to those in the community and beyond, and by reaching in to provide opportunities for learning, fellowship, growth, and service to the family at Metro.
We want to believe as they believed, preach as they preached, and worship as they worshipped.
- I
We sing a cappella
Without musical instruments, using song books as well as a paperless hymnal on our overhead screen.
- II
We pray and read together
We pray together, read from the Bible, and receive encouragement through the preaching of God's word.
- III
We share the communion
We remember Christ and His sacrifice for us. You are welcome to share in the unleavened bread and grape juice. If you choose not to, simply pass the plate down the pew.
- IV
We extend the invitation
During the hymn after the sermon, anyone who needs our prayers or desires to be baptized into Christ may come to the front pew and share with a shepherd or the minister.
For our guests
We collect an offering, but as a guest you are not expected to contribute. If you feel comfortable, fill out a pink visitor's card from the back of each pew and place it in the plate or hand it to someone after worship.
Our leadership
Shepherds, servants and our minister.

Our minister
Donald T. Eason
A minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ for over 25 years, Donald serves as Senior Minister at Metro and as Great Lakes Regional Director of pastoral engagement for the Douglass Leadership Institute. He was a financial services executive for over 20 years, chaired the board of Outreach, Inc. in Indianapolis, and sits on the board of the Herald of Truth and the advisory board of the Church of Christ Care Community.
He has preached internationally and done mission work in Panama, Swaziland and South Africa. Donald and Phyllis have been married 36 years, with three adult children and two young granddaughters.
